For the kids

Adventure trail

Guess How Much I Love You is a garden adventure trail based on the well-known children’s book, containing a series of fun activities encouraging children to learn and have fun through play. A fantastic experience for the kids!

Where: RHS Garden, Bridgewater

When: February 15 – December 31, 10am-6pm

Treetop challenge

Go Ape is a fun treetop challenge that is national – they have a high ropes course in a nice area, so adults can relax but it can keep the kids going all day. This is more relevant for older children, who are looking for outdoor adventure.

Where: Go Ape, Rivington, Bolton

When: Every day, with allocated time slots

Children’s Farm Park

Cockfields Farm is a children’s farm park with multiple events, but with a special Easter spring fling. There’s a fantastic Easter egg hunt and the ticket also includes tractor rides, feeding and cuddling the animals, and play areas. Affordable, fun, and well worth a visit!

Where: Cockfields Farm, Oldham

When: April 5 – April 21

Theatre fun show

Room on the Broom is on at the Lowry theatre in Salford Quays. Most people have read the incredible children’s book, and now you can watch a fun-filled adaptation. The kids will love the story being brought to life!

Where: Lowry, Salford Quays

Fletcher Moss Botanical Gardens are popular and beautiful gardens in Didsbury. With stunning views, plenty of activities and a nice walk if you fancy, Fletcher Moss is free to visit and a great day out.

Easter spirit brunch

Hunny Bunny Brunch is a fun and boozy day to get you into the Easter spirit. With unlimited Easter themed cocktails and delicious food, what more could you ask for!

I am a second-year university student at Salford University studying English literature (2024-2025). I decided to choose this course because I love reading and writing. One of my favourite books is Every Day by David Leviathan, as I think it has an amazing narrative. I absolutely love animals and wildlife. Since becoming a vegetarian about five years ago, I have felt a lot of passion towards animal cruelty and how climate change is ruining their habitats. I also love music and going to concerts to rewind.
