Joanne Risley

Joanne is a British sculptor who lives and works in Cheshire. She has connections to Ireland and is campaigning for a fairer voting system and a democracy that works for everyone. Her artwork uses the relationship between botanics and mechanics to express the dangerous political space we inhabit. Recent commissions include a set of seed pod sculptural urns for a local crematorium and a memorial sculpture for the Cheshire Yeomanry.

The Cheshire Yeomanry regiment marks its 225 year anniversary, and a memorial sculpture was commissioned to celebrate this.
