Read moreEliza Goodpasture is a PhD candidate in the history of art at the University of York. Her research examines the centrality of friendship to the artistic practices of artists who were women around the turn of the twentieth century in England. She is interested in framing art historical narratives through a relational lens and in broadening the meaning of British Modernism. Eliza received her MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art in 2019, and her BA in history of art and gender studies from Bowdoin College in 2019. She has held positions at various museums and is currently the editor-in-chief of Aspectus: A Journal of Visual Culture, the peer-reviewed postgraduate journal of the History of Art department at the University of York.
